I am an Ojibwe-Cree actor, writer, director, producer, and creative professional dedicated to telling Indigenous stories with authenticity, heart, and cinematic craft. My artistic journey began at the Nor’West Community Centre on Alexander — a United Way–funded agency — where early exposure to community arts programs sparked the passion that continues to guide my work today.

My acting career started with the short film Into the Woods, followed by silent-on-camera roles in Heartland Homicide, Sunshine Slayings, and the documentary Satanic Panic. I went on to appear in award-winning shorts such as Don’t Look @ Me (Sean Kinsella) and Unless You Have Been There (Farrah Murdock), as well as the feature film Aberdeen (Ryan Cooper & Eva Thomas) and Season 3 & 4 of Acting Good (APTN/CTV Comedy). My first stage role was in high school, performing as the lead in Don’t Forget About Us at the Tom Hendry Warehouse Theatre.

Behind the camera, I developed a deep respect for the craft of filmmaking while working in Winnipeg movie theatres — first at SilverCity Polo Park, then as an Assistant Manager at Cinema City Northgate, where I learned to thread 35mm projectors. That hands-on experience with physical film sparked my appreciation for the technical side of cinema.

In 2016, I expanded my professional foundation by entering the legal field, working in Litigation, Labour & Employment Law, and eventually becoming a Trademark Paralegal. The precision and structure from that work continue to inform my approach to producing, storytelling, and leadership.

Today, I serve as Program Manager for the Winnipeg Indigenous Filmmakers Collective (WIFC), supporting emerging Indigenous creatives and strengthening community-driven cinema. Through initiatives like the Skodoodisden Project, I combine project management expertise with a commitment to Indigenous stories on screen and behind the scenes.

My directorial debut, Stay Awhile, was created through the Skodoodisden program and has screened at festivals across North America, including the Red Nation International Film Festival (Los Angeles), the Pocahontas Reframed Film Festival (Richmond, VA), and festivals in Wyoming, Indiana, Winnipeg, and Gimli.

In 2025, I graduated from the National Screen Institute’s CBC New Indigenous Voices program. I completed a production internship on REZervations for Two, beginning as a PA/AD hybrid before being entrusted with full Assistant Director duties for the remainder of its 13-episode season. I later joined Eagle Vision for a two-week internship as an Office PA, strengthening my experience in both on-set and production office roles. That same year, I became a member of the ACTRA performers union.

I am currently part of New Media Manitoba’s StoryLab xR program, where I am learning Virtual Production and Unreal Engine fundamentals, expanding my practice into new forms of immersive storytelling.

Across all of my work, I remain dedicated to creating space for Indigenous artists and telling stories that reflect the richness, humour, struggle, and brilliance of Indigenous life. My career continues to blend performance, writing, and directing with mentorship, collaboration, and advocacy for Indigenous voices in film and television.
